A woman was arrested for driving drunk and topless, stealing a bottle of wine, and crashing her car into a Burger King in Nevada.
According to the Nevada Appeal, witnesses saw 41-year-old Brandi Smith driving erratically before pulling into the Scolari’s Grocery Store parking lot in Gardnerville, Nev. Police say she entered the store drunk and topless, grabbed a $20 bottle of wine, and proceeded to walk past the clerk without paying.
Smith then reportedly hopped back into her car and drove toward a Burger King, jumping the curb and plowing into the landscaping. The paper says that an off-duty sheriff’s deputy ran to her vehicle and held Smith until police and paramedics arrived.
Her breath-alcohol content clocked in at .144, which is almost twice the legal limit.
Records obtained by The Nevada Appeal indicated that Smith had two prior drunk driving convictions in California in 2008 and 2009, and was currently driving with a suspended California license.
To make matters worse, she was also on probation for an Oct. 2009 theft of beer from a 7-Eleven. Smith remained hospitalized for observation.
